CNBLUE World Tour Off To A Great Start: 11,000 Fans Enjoyed Taiwan Performance

CNBLUE completed a successful show in Taiwan on April 6 in front of 11,000 screaming fans at the Taipei Arena.

The Taipei concert was the first stop on their first ever world tour, 2013 CNBLUE Blue Moon World Tour. The four member pop-rock group is making stops around the globe promoting their latest EP, Re:Blue which was released earlier this year.

After some domestic promotions throughout South Korea, the guys headed over to Taiwan to kick off the eight-nation tour.

Saturday night's performance included 24 of the group's hit songs and a tremendous amount of crowd participation as the Taiwanese fans sang along and even participated in an arena-wide wave led by CNBLUE leader Jung Yong-hwa. The energy in the room was intense and fans stuck around long after the show's conclusion to sing along with the exit music, including "I'm Sorry" from the latest EP, reported FNC Entertainment.

Yong-hwa also had performed an acoustic version of the song, which he composed himself, live at a press conference in Taipei the day before the show.

After the performance Yong-hwa posted a heartfelt thank you on behalf of himself and bandmates to all who attended the Taipei show on Twitter saying, "Thank you Taiwan fans from the bottom of my heart, for rocking hard with us. It was an unforgettable experience."

The tour will continue on to Singapore next weekend before making a stop in Bangkok early next month. Mid-May CNBLUE has two scheduled concerts in Hong Kong - the first of which was sold out within five minutes and the intense fan response required the addition of a second date. After finishing up in Hong Kong they will then return to Seoul for another two shows at Jamsil Stadium. The summer months will take the idol group southward to Sydney, Manila, and Kuala Lumpur.

FNC Entertainment announced that they are currently working on adding more Blue Moon World Tour dates in China, Europe, and the Americas, but no official plans have been made just yet.

CNBLUE has previously played international concerts all across Asia as well as in London and LA (alongside label-mates FTISLAND), giving them a significant global fan following and making them one of the top K-Pop groups with real potential to strike big in the global market.

If the success of the Taiwan concert is any indication of what fans can expect from CNBLUE's world tour, ticket holders are certainly in for a real treat.
