Johnny Unitas' Family Is Upset That Joe Flacco Will Play The Hall Of Fame Quarterback In An Up-And-Coming Movie About The Legendary Baltimore Colt

Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco will play the role of Johnny Unitas in a movie about the hall of fame quarterback and members of Unitas' family doesn't like it.

"If you want a real movie, hire a real actor," wrote J.C. Unitas, the grandson of the Colts' star, on Facebook per USA Today. "My grandfather and his legacy deserves only the best, and this is not it. Has Baltimore forgotten that Trent Dilfer also won a Super Bowl while playing for Baltimore?"

J.C. father, John Jr., the son of Unitas called Flacco a "goofball."

A feud has spurred from these comments because Unitas' son from his second marriage, Joe, is producing the movie. He is half-brothers with John Jr.

Joe's mother, Sandra Unitas, unsuccessfully sued John Jr., Johnny's eldest son from his first marriage, over control of Unitas Management, which owns the rights to the family name, according to USA Today. John Jr., who was a ball boy for the Colts during his father's playing days in Baltimore, is considering legal recourse against Joe if he profits from his father's name.

"It is awful. The guy's a turd," John Jr. said in the report. "He never talked to me. He never talked to any of the first five children. He's a guy that's just making money off of my father."

Nicknamed Johnny U, Unitas won back-to-back NFL world championships with the Baltimore Colts in 1958 and 1959. He also won a Super Bowl with the same team in 1970. He's a legend in Baltimore and Flacco is coming off his own legend in February.

The Colts moved from Baltimore to Indianapolis after the 1983 NFL season. The Cleveland Browns moved to Baltimore, forming the Ravens in 1996 and bringing an NFL team back to Baltimore. Thw Ravens since won two Super Bowl titles.

Flacco was named the MVP when the Baltimore Ravens defeated the San Francisco 49ers in New Orleans. He since signed the highest-paid contract in NFL history and will be the quarterback with the Ravens for the long-term.
