In a recent chat with Refinery 29, the "All We Had" actress was candid and funny as she shared her hidden talent, favorite things and other details about her life. But her eyes seemed to light up with glee when asked about her greatest role in life -- being a mom.

"Best part about being a mom is seeing my daughter do really well with things," she told the source above. "I'm really proud of her."

Katie Holmes has kept her daughter Suri Cruise from the news as much as she can. Recently though, they made a rare appearance together during the Global Citizen Festival more than a week ago. As reported by Vanity Fair, the "All We Had" actress brought her daughter on stage as the latter seemingly shyly smiled and waved to the crowd.

The "All We Had" actress has always been open about how much she values her relationship with daughter Suri Cruise. In an interview with People last year, she said it "means everything to her."

Despite being focused on her daughter, the actress also revealed in the same interview that she was not closing her door to dating.

"Yes. Someday," she exclaimed about the possibility of loving again. "I'm a very loving person. Of course I'm open to finding love again."

Katie Holmes has been linked again to Jamie Foxx since her People interview. Us Weekly even reported last month that she resorted to go incognito just to meet him despite previous denials from their reps that none of the rumors about them were true. She has also been linked with her "All We Had" co-star Luke Wilson.
