Charlize Theron went on a date with Seth MacFarlane to eat a dinner of Sushi at Beverly Hills' Matsuhisa restaurant.

When the Theron and MacFarlane were spotted outside the restaurant, Theron kept her head down as she walked to the car, while MacFarlane laughed to himself as he trailed behind his date.

Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron has interacted with Family Guy creator MacFarlane before. Theron and MacFarlane opened the 2013 Oscars in February, Charlize Theron dancing with actor Channing Tatum as MacFarlane sang.

37-year-old Charlize Theron and 39-year-old MacFarlane are working together the movie A Million Ways To Die In The West. They are both starring in the new Western and will start shooting next month. MacFarlane is also directing the film.

Reportedly, at a Hollywood Oscars after-party, Charlize Theron seemed "very flirty" with MacFarlane.

Both of the stars are currently single. MacFarlane recently ended his relationship with Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke. Theron was last romantically linked to actor Stuart Townsend, but that relationship ended in 2010.

MacFarlane and Clarke allegedly broke it off due to schedule conflicts and the difficulties maintaining a long-distance relationship. An insider told E! News, "They are no longer dating. It was really a location challenge. She has been in Europe shooting Game of Thrones and he is based in California, so it was hard to make it work despite the distance. They have remained friends."

The main figure in Charlize Theron's life right now is her son Jackson, who celebrated his second birthday just before the Oscars.

An insider told Us Weekly of Theron, "Charlize is the nicest person on earth. She's gorgeous and relaxed and sweet."

However, despite their 'date,' a source allegedly told E! News that Theron and MacFarlane "def aren't dating" because "She is not his type. They are just friends."

MacFarlane may or may not be dating Charlize Theron, but their 'date' was the perfect reflection of what Macfarlane described as the difficulties of dating in Hollywood.

He told Entertainment Weekly, "It's a pain...because if you date, at a certain point you're in a relationship and at a certain point you're playing the field. It becomes this thing of trying to find places where you can have some privacy, where you're not going to be accosted by people and suddenly linked to someone as if you're in a serious relationship."
