Camila Cabello recently opened up about the kind of man she hoped to end up with amid the Shawn Mendes dating rumors.

At the same time, she somehow apparently threw shade at an ex with some wondering if she's talking about Austin Mahone.

In an interview with Latina recently, the Fifth Harmony member said she has gotten her heart broken after falling for the wrong guy. She did not name the person directly but Cabello used to date Austin Mahone.

"I was young and naïve and stupid," she explained. "But because I'm a good girl, I tend to fall for the bad boy persona, and it ends up biting me in the butt. They end up not knowing how to treat me, and I end up completely devastated."

"I just need to find someone who is a good person with good values and who is focused," she added. "If it happened to be someone in the music industry, it would have to be someone who is completely in it for the music - not buying into any of the fame and disgusting stuff. There's a lot of disgusting stuff. I'm just overwhelmed by it lately. There's gross s--t in the music industry."

Camila Cabello has only been reportedly known to have dated Austin Mahone but it was not clear if she was talking about the "Dirty Work" singer.

She has also been linked to singer Shawn Mendez as reported by E! Online last month. But as clarified by People though, the two were apparently "just friends."

Seventeen even reported recently how the Fifth Harmony member and "Stitches" singer got close.

"He knew that I was Latina, and he wanted to learn Spanish, because he's half-Portuguese," she said as quoted by the source above. "I was like, dude, I'll teach you if you [show] me how to play guitar. So, he's teaching me how to play guitar, and I'm teaching him Spanish."

Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes stirred dating rumors after they have been constantly seen gatecrashing on each other's interviews and reportedly flirting on social media as mentioned by Perez Hilton in a report.

Prior to the Mendes rumors, Cabello was in the news in April as well after Austin Mahone claimed in a report on SugarScape that what he had with the Fifth Harmony member wasn't a "real relationship."
