Taylor Swift Says ‘Bad Blood’ Is Not About Katy Perry; Answers To ‘GQ’ ‘Passive-Aggressive’?

Once and for all, Taylor Swift has called off rumors linking her "Bad Blood" single with supposed ex-pal Katy Perry.

In her interview with "GQ" magazine for its November 2015 issue, the 25-year-old seven-time Grammy Awards winner pointed out that her newest song is not directed to any particular person.

"You're in a Rolling Stone interview, and the writer says, 'Who is that song about? That sounds like a really intense moment from your life,'" she said as she tried to "dissect" its lyrics.

"And you sit there, and you know you're on good terms with your ex-boyfriend, and you don't want him-or his family-to think you're firing shots at him," she added.

Taylor Swift continued by emphasizing that "Bad Blood" has no relations to 30-year-old singer-songwriter Katy Perry.

"So you say, 'That was about losing a friend.' And that's basically all you say," she stated. "But then people cryptically tweet about what you meant."

The "Shake It Off" artist also clarified that she "never said anything that would point a finger in the specific direction of one specific person, and I can sleep at night knowing that."

"Listen to the song," Taylor Swift reiterated. "It doesn't point to any one person or any one situation."

Apart from denying that "Bad Blood" talks about Katy Perry, Taylor Swift disclosed as well that it is actually about "the loss of friendship" and "not a song about heartbreak."

"It was important to show that losing friendships can be just as damaging to a person as losing a romantic relationship," the girlfriend of Calvin Harris stated.

Amid these words from the multi-awarded performer, Celeb Dirty Laundry commented that such were "passive-aggressive."

"So, the song isn't about ONE specific person - it's not all about Katy Perry," the report said. "But that answer seems pretty passive-aggressive on Taylor Swift's part don't you think?

The site further commented that the "Mean" singer must already "Stop trying so hard to be the nice girl from next door and own up to the fact that yes, the lyrics you write are about whoever you were pissed off at when you wrote it."

Do you think the lyrics of Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" have something to do with Katy Perry?
