"Suicide Squad" cast member Corina Calderon discusses Jared Leto's portrayal of the Joker.
In an interview with HHB Media, the actress whose role in the film is yet to be revealed, said Leto's version of the Clown Prince of Crime is "Brilliant."
She added that watching Leto shoot his scenes was an "amazing lesson" that gave her a "whole new freedom as an actress."
The 30 Seconds To Mars frontman is known for his dedication in playing characters, as seen in his portrayal of a transgender woman in 2013's "Dallas Buyers Club," which landed him an Oscar Award for Best Supporting Actor.
Will Smith, who plays assassin Deadshot in the movie, says that Leto has fully embraced his role, even when the cameras aren't rolling.
"I've never actually met Jared Leto," Smith admitted in an interview with Zane Lowe. "We worked together for 6 months and we've never exchanged a word outside of 'Action!' and 'Cut!' We've never said 'Hello,' we've never said 'Good day.' I've only ever spoken to him as Deadshot and him as the Joker. I literally have not met him yet. So, the first time I see him will be 'Hey, Jared. What's up?'"
"Not a single word exchanged off camera," he explained. "He was all in on the Joker...I'm looking forward to meeting him."
Along with Leto and Smith, "Suicide Squad" also stars Margot Robbie (Wolf of Wall Street) as Harley Quinn, Cara Delevigne (Papertowns) as Enchantress, Joel Kinnaman (Run All Night) as Rick Flagg, Jai Courtney (Terminator: Genisys) as Captain Boomerang, Adewale Akkinuoye-Agbaje (Lost) as Killer Croc, Adam Beach as (Bury Me At Wounded Knee) as Slipknot, Jay Hernandez (Hostel) as El Diablo and Viola Davis (How To Get Away With Murder) as Amanda Waller.
"Suicide Squad" arrives in theaters on Aug. 5, 2016
