Sia Taking Songs From Adele And Katy Perry For Her New Album; Songwriter Excited For Release

Sia is prepping up for a new album release and songs she has written that were "denied" by other artists could appear on her record.

According to a report by Stuff.co.nz, Sia wrote for artists such as Adele, Katy Perry, Rihanna, among others.

As reported by the website, the singer-songwriter revealed how she previously worked with Adele for "Alive," which she revealed was meant to be used by the "Hello" singer.

"We wrote three songs in two days and none of them made the cut, and [Alive] was one of them," Sia said of her new album and talked about working with Adele.

After Adele, Sia tried to give the songs she wrote to Rihanna.

"I said to her, 'Do you mind if I pitch it to, let's say, Rihanna?' She said, 'Yeah, but can you take my vocal off it because I don't want my vocal floating around out there on a demo.' And I was like, 'Sure.' So I went and recut the vocal and everybody in my life was like, 'You can't give this away to anybody.'"

Meanwhile, in a Daily Mail report, it has been revealed that the new album from Sia would be called "This Is Acting" after the 39-year-old claimed in an interview, stating because most songs were meant for other people.

"I'm calling it [the album] "This Is Acting" because they are songs I was writing for other people," she said.

"Most of the songs, if not all of them, I wrote for other people and they were rejected," Sia said of her new album. "Generally, they're songs that aren't from my perspective, so it feels like acting. I have rejects from Rihanna, Shakira, Beyoncé [Knowles], Demi Lovato, all the good girls, [and] Katy [Perry]."

"I appreciate my music is famous, but I'd rather my face wasn't so that I can just live a normal life. If I can't, then I guess, maybe, I would end up just giving up and show my face."
