With a new album from Adele now confirmed and with the media right in the face of the singer, Adele now spoke about the remarks Gorillaz and Blur singer Damon Albarn threw at her in the past months.
According to a report by Consequence Of Sound, Adele said in an interview that she regrets to have met one of his idols on the moment the two collaborated.
"It ended up being one of those 'don't meet your idol' moments," she told Rolling Stone. "And the saddest thing was that I was such a big Blur fan growing up. But it was sad, and I regret hanging out with him."
"None of it was right," she answered toward the comments she received for being "middle of the road" while Adele working on her new album. "None of it suited my record. He said I was insecure, when I'm the least insecure person I know. I was asking his opinion about my fears, about coming back with a child involved - because he has a child - and then he calls me insecure?"
The two worked together for a supposed collaboration between Adele and Damon Albarn for her new album.
In a report by New Zealand Herald, the head of the animated band released his thoughts about Adele and how their collaboration happened.
"Adele asked me to work with her and I took the time out for her," Albarn revealed in an interview.
"I'm not a producer, so... I don't know what is happening really. Will she use any of the stuff? I don't think so. Let's wait and see."
"The thing is, she's very insecure. And she doesn't need to be, she's still so young," Albarn added.
Meanwhile, while waiting for the official release of the new Adele album, the sould singer released a single and a video for her newest song "Hello."
