Three female singers from JYP Entertainment will be skipping the college entrance exams this year in order to dedicate their full attention to their idol careers, reports The Korea Herald.
15& duo Baek Yerin and Park Jimin, as well as TWICE member Jihyo were eligible to take the exams next week on November 12, but they have chosen to forego the chance.
"They decided not to take the test because they wanted to focus more on their careers," a JYP representative reportedly said. "It is true that they may not be able to go to class even when they get accepted to a college which would be damaging to regular students."
15& most recently released the digial single "Love Is Madness," while Park Jimin debuted as a solo artist with the single "Hopeless Love" in April. TWICE debuted as a nine-member group last month with the song "OOH-AHH."
In contrast, GOT7 member Yugyeom will be taking the exams.
Results from next week's college entrance exams, also known as the College Scholastic Ability Test or CSAT, will help determine which university Yugyeom and other Korean students will be able to enter.
Yugyeom's decision to take the test is made more impressive given the fact that GOT7 is in the midst of their comeback promotions for "If You Do."
