KATSEYE, the global girl group based in Los Angeles, is officially making their return with a new single titled "Gnarly."

The group teased their first comeback with a trailer released Wednesday. The song, titled "Gnarly," will be released on April 29, 2025, at 9 PM Pacific Time, which corresponds to midnight Eastern Time on April 30. This marks KATSEYE's first major comeback since their debut EP, SIS (Soft Is Strong), in August 2024.

The news was first teased on April 15, when KATSEYE released a mysterious video clip on their official website and social media channels. The teaser, which featured highlights from the group's journey and moments shared by fans, ended with a simple "Coming Soon" message.

Fans, known as EYEKONS, have been eagerly anticipating new music from KATSEYE. The group consists of members Manon, Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae, who hail from the Philippines, South Korea, Switzerland, and the United States.

KATSEYE was formed through the reality show "Dream Academy," a joint project between Hybe Corporation and Geffen Records. From over 120,000 applicants worldwide, twenty contestants were selected for the show, which aired internationally and used K-pop's rigorous artist development system to train its participants.

Their previous releases, including the singles "Debut" and "Touch," was part of the group's debut EP, which charted on the Billboard 200 and topped the Emerging Artists chart. Their dance challenge for "Touch" also went viral on social media, amassing over 200 million streams and 80 million YouTube views within months.

Their performances at major events like KCON LA, Music Bank in Korea, and the 2024 MAMA Awards, as well as a Netflix documentary series Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE, have helped them build a strong international presence.
