'Wonder Woman' Movie To Begin Production In England; Nicole Kidman Reportedly Playing Main Villain

Warner Bros.' "Wonder Woman" movie will commence principal photography soon and reports claim that Nicole Kidman will be involved in the film.

DC Comics chief creative officer Geoff Johns revealed on his Twitter that production will take place in Rickmansworth, England.

He also expressed his excitement over the movie's progress, mentioning director Patty Jenkins in one of his tweets.

With filming set to begin anytime, more rumors about "Wonder Woman's" narrative are surfacing.

The latest reports claim that Oscar winning actress Nicole Kidman is in negotiations with Warner Bros. to play a major role in Wonder Woman's home of Themyscira, the secret land of Amazonian warriors.

The Wrap reports that Nicole Kidman is being sought after for the role of a "high-ranking Amazonian warrior" while other sources claim that she might be the movie's main antagonist.

According to Screen Rant, "Wonder Woman" marks the studio's first female-led film in the new DC Extended Universe. Producer Joel Silver worked on a script back in 2001 while filmmakers including Joss Whedon (Avengers: Age of Ultron) and screenwriter Laeta Kalogridis (Shutter Island) have tried to bring the Amazonian princess to the big screen.

Wonder Woman will debut in Zack Snyder's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice," starring alongside Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. She will then come out with her solo film on July 2017 before appearing in DC's team-up film "Justice League Part One" on November 2017.

"Wonder Woman" will feature Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) as the titular heroine and Chris Pine (Star Trek: Into Darkness) as her love interest Steve Trevor.
