Ellen DeGeneres And Portia De Rossi Divorce Rumors Throttled By IVF Reports; De Rossi Opens Up About Hollywood Beauty Standards And DeGeneres’s Popularity

Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi are on the fast track to a divorce or they're not. Let's face it, according to reports, Ellen and Portia have been on the verge of divorce since they got married seven years ago. The tabloids have been having a ball speculating on their tumultuous marriage, unless of course DeGeneres and de Rossi are happily married.

Some reports say Portia wants to have kids, but Ellen doesn't. Life & Style magazine reported that de Rossi has been undergoing IVF treatments and suggested to DeGeneres that they adopt.

"Ellen said she's realized she doesn't want to be a mom. It was utterly devastating news for Portia. She really hasn't recovered from it," a source told Life & Style.

The insider also claims Ellen and Portia's "relationship is falling apart." She says DeGeneres lives at the couple's Beverly Hills condo and de Rossi lives in their Malibu home.

"A baby is the only thing that Portia wants right now," the insider told Life & Style.

Some reports say Portia de Rossi thinks that adopting a baby could solve the Ellen DeGeneres/Portia de Rossi divorce rumors. But Ellen doesn't agree, reportedly.

"The reason probably isn't all that complicated - DeGeneres can be a pretty selfish lady demanding it's her way or the highway - and she doesn't want a baby," accorsding to Celeb Dirty Laundry. "The couple was rumored to be constantly fighting which led to Portia drinking way too much. Insiders said de Rossi checked into Passages Malibu in May 2014 and completed a 30-day drug and alcohol treatment program."

Portia de Rossi recently talked about Hollywood's beauty standards.

"I was obviously very affected by it," Di Rossi told Australia's Today show.

DeRossi plays the villain in 'Scandal," manipulating White House chief of staff Elizabeth North, and thinks people find her to be a villain in real life.

"I was a fan for years! I get to work in the Oval and have scenes with Fitz [Tony Goldwyn]. He yells at me, and I'm like, 'It's pretty darn cool as a fan - and an actress,'" Portia told Us Weekly. ''When I'm out with Ellen, fans come up to us and say, 'Oh, my God, Ellen, you're an angel.' And then they look at me and go, 'And you're horrible!' It's funny.''

But De Rossi isn't villainous enough to give her wife spoilers.

''I had a hard time keeping things to myself last year. She was like, 'Please don't tell me!' But then I kind of spilled it anyway. She got really angry,'' Portia told Us Weekly.

The former Arrested Development actress said she sees changes in how women are portrayed on screen.

"It's funny because 20 years ago I would have said absolutely," di Rossi said. "But because of people like Robyn Butler and Wayne Hope and because of Shonda Rhimes, my other boss on Scandal, I think they're bringing stories to light that are more relatable and they're writing better roles for women."

Lately, publications have been reporting on the PDAs and how they just might be covers for bigger problems between the host of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and the "Scandal" actress.

Mail Online reported that de Rossi and DeGeneres was showing PDAs while on a lunch date in Hollywood at a vegan food place with some girls friends on Saturday.

"Ellen and Portia both sported sunglasses as they clasped fingers after lunch with friends," Mail Online pointed out.

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have been married since August 2008.
