Guns N Roses are reportedly gearing up for a new album and fans are excited to see what the band has in store especially that Axl Rose and Slash reportedly reconciled recently.
In a recent report by Consequence Of Sound, the website stated that 2016 would be a big year for Guns N Roses, as they might come up with a new album and a tour.
According to the report, Australian promoter James Young revealed that he has heard a rumor of the original line up of the band being together.
"I heard the most amazing rumor this week, from a very well-informed heavy hitter in the Australian music industry," Young said. "So what mega band could it be? I heard on Wednesday night that it would be Steven Adler, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan, Slash and Axl Rose - the reformation of the original 1987 Appetite For Destruction Guns N' Roses!"
However, another report from Blabbermouth revealed that promoter AJ Maddah that a Guns N Roses new album and tour wouldn't be happening anytime soon.
According to rumors, GNR was offered a few festival appearances for 2016 but the band allegedly didn't accept the invite.
Maddah noted that the band was initially offered to play Portugese music Magazine Blitz for a reunion concert in 2016 and appear in Soundwave Festival in Australia, which he claimed wouldn't happen.
"It's been nice for me personally to share this fantasy for a few days along with the fans, but it is not happening," he said. "If a reunion does happen, it is going to take longer than six months for the band to be ready to tour. I think it'll take a hundred lawyers six months just to get the five of them into a rehearsal room together."
There are no official reports from Guns N Roses if a new album or tour would happen in 2016.
