‘Tekken X Street Fighter’ Release Date To Happen In 2016? New Characters Might Be Introduced

"Tekken X Street Fighter" has been introduced in 2010 as a follow up to "Street Fighter Vs. Tekken," which was handled by Capcom that had the "Tekken" characters appear in the "Street Fighter" platform.

Ever since then, minimal news were reported about the release date of "Tekken X Street Fighter." However, a report from Famitsu revealed that game creator Katsuhiro Harada has been working closely on the game throughout the years.

According to a statement, early production process has already been done, as they make a closer step to the competition of the game.

"I've been saying this since before, but the fact of the matter is that we're at a pretty far stage into its development," Harada said. "It might seem like we haven't started on it at all, but the character lineup has been decided upon since a very long time ago and we've already finished the polygon models, moves, and systems."

Furthermore, Harada also noted how it is difficult for them to give out a release date for "Tekken X Street Fighter," as it could give them pressure. He, however, revealed that gamers have to stand by and be prepared to be surprised.

"It's very difficult to talk about," he said. "Obviously, I had originally planned to release it much earlier than we're currently looking at."

"People have been talking about the game for such a long time that they aren't going to be surprised if you just release it normally. I don't know if that's what we have planned, but we do plan to have some kind of surprise."

It was however noted by Uber Gizmo that fans should expect a release date announcement for "Tekken X Street Fighter" might come in 2016 and could be made available for the PC, PS4, Xbox One and of course the arcades.
