Naughty Dog confirmed that they would be announcing a possible release date for "The Last Of U2" and that they would on the said game after wrap things up for "Uncharted 4."
According to multiple reports, voice actor in the game, Nolan North, unintentionally confirmed that a sequel of one of the most highest-selling games for the PlayStation is coming.
In a report by Game Rant, North reportedly went in front of a panel earlier this year and revealed that the studio may be working on a release date for "The Last Of Us 2."
"I know they're doing a 'Last of Us 2,'" North said in a MetroCon panel.
Meanwhile, speculations have been revealed by numerous websites as to what the future of the game could potentially have.
According to a report by Movie Pilot, they revealed the possibility having Joel killed of the game and that the story of "The Last Of Us 2" on its release date could potentially show Ellie's survival alone.
"If the sequel features the same characters and the same setting, most of us, if not all, don't want Joel to return," the report stated.
"Imagine an emotional scene where Joel dies in Ellie's arms, trying to save her from the Infected, maybe trying to kill a stage 5 Infected which got removed from the first game. After that, Ellie is all on her own, fighting for her survival. The game could feature many emotional scenes of Ellie remembering Joel."
There are no official words as to when the release date of "The Last Of Us 2" would be but is expected to happen after Naughty Dog Studios finishes with their current project, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," which would be available for the PlayStation 4 by March 2016.
