Although Pokemon fans are excited to the slew of new Pokemon games coming up, the classic generations are also making a comeback, starting with new distribution events.
According to Serebii, following the Kanto starters distribution events at the Pokemon Lab event, Johto starters will become available through serial codes from Dec. 23 to March 6. Reportedly, the Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile have no standout traits compared to the regular versions you would find.
But these Pokemon distribution events are not the only news related to the classic generations.
Recently, it was confirmed that the original "Pokemon Red," "Pokemon Blue" and "Pokemon Yellow" would be coming to the 3DS eShop on Feb. 27, 2016 just as they are in their original launch.
"I hope they keep every single glitch of the originals," commented Miguel68321 on reddit.
There are other distribution events to take advantage of before the end of the year as well.
Earlier this month, USA and Canadian fans in North America suddenly got treated with a new Pokemon distribution event featuring Zoroark. According to Serebii, it can be obtained through the Mystery Gift service over the Nintendo Network for "Omega Ruby" or "Alpha Sapphire."
Reportedly, this Zoroark knows the move Sludge Bomb, an attack that is not normally known by the Pokemon. While there is no end date set for this distribution event, it is wise to take advantage of it as soon as possible before other events begin.
There is also a shiny Tyranitar distribution event that will be running from Nov. 7 to Dec. 6 at the Pokemon Centers and Pokemon stores across Japan. The distribution will be made exclusively for "Pokemon Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire."
Reportedly, this shiny Tyranitar is modeled after Kotone Yasue, the Junior Division Pokemon World Champion crowned earlier this year.
