'Captain America: Civil War' Trailer Almost Complete Says Russo Brothers; To Release With 'Star Wars 7'?

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo reveal that the first trailer for "Captain America: Civil War" is almost complete.

Although there was footage shown at this year's D23 convention, fans are still foaming at the mouth to see the movie's first theatrical trailer. Now, Cinema Blend reports that that time is close, as the director themselves have announced that it will be out "soon."

During a panel at a community college in Cleveland, the Russos announced that the "Captain America: Civl War" trailer is "almost complete."

"The trailer is almost complete. With just a few special effects left to edit in, it should be out soon. You're really going to enjoy it," the Russos said in a statement.

It was previously rumored that the trailer would be attached with the release of the latest James Bond film, "Spectre," but obviously did not push through. Now, sources claim that it will debut with "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," which makes more sense since Disney owns both Marvel and the Star Wars franchise.

"Captain America: Civil War" picks up where "Avengers: Age of Ultron" left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity," reads the official synopsis courtesy of Marvel. "After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team."

"The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain."

The film stars Chris Evans as Captain America, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, Paul Bettany as Vision, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier and Don Cheadle as War Machine.

"Captain America: Civil War" opens in theaters on May 6, 2016.
