The Xiaomi Mi5 is not yet out but specs and features of the upcoming flagship phone has been revealed. Compared to the Samsung Galaxy S6, how could the Chinese phone fare?
According to a Techno Buffalo report, the Xiaomi Mi5, which has been tagged with a "Xiaomi Gemini" codename is believed to have "msm8996" processor, which the site stated is the Snapdragon 820. It is also said to have 3 GB of RAM for maximum power and is expected to run on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Furthermore, an Indian Express article reported that the Xiaomi Mi5 could carry a 16-megapixel camera for its rear and an 8-megapixel sensor for its front camera.
It is also said to be equipped with an Adreno 530 GPU, a choice of 16 or 64 GB of internal memory without a microSD card slot, equipped with a fingerprint scanner, a hefty 3000 mAh battery.
For its display, the Xiaomi Mi5 is expected to have a 5.2-inch QHD display, with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels and a 2K display, protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
On the other hand, GSM Arena reported the full specs and features of the Samsung Galaxy S6, which is equipped with a 5.1-inch super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels that is protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
It is installed with the latest Android OS 5.0.2, which could be updated to the 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system, an Exynos 7420 chipset, a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and a Mali-T760MP8 GPU.
It comes in three variants of a 32, 64 and 128 GB of internal memory that runs on 3 GB of RAM.
For its power, it runs with a non-removable Li-Ion 2550 mAh battery that supports wireless charging.
