MBLAQ's Seungho To Make Big Screen Debut In Musical Film 'Rock 'n' Roll Grandpa'

MBLAQ singer Yang Seungho will be starring in his first musical film role next year.

Seungho will play the role of an ambitious 20-year-old-man in the musical film Rock n' Roll Grandpa. who communicates with a blind old man through music, reports The Korea Times. He will co-star with actors Oh Kwang Rok, Ha Eun Seol and Yun Soo Il.

Seungho's character in the musical film is named Ki Ho Tae and he works in a cold storage facility but continues to hold on to his big dreams, which contrasts with the older man who has seemed to given up on his own dreams, reports Allkpop.

"This will be his first time acting since his debut. He's nervous because it's his first time acting, and he's working hard practicing guitar and acting because he's a guitarist in the movie. He's working hard, so please show a lot of interest," Seungho's label reportedly said in a statement.

Rock n' Roll Grandpa is scheduled to release in October 2016.

Suengho is one of three members of the previously five-member boy band that stayed together to continue promoting as a group with a revised name of MBL3Q to reflect their new configuration.

Members Thunder (Park Sang Hyun) and Lee Joon departed in 2014 to focus on their solo activities.
