A recent cover of a popuar Michael Jackson song garnered some lovely attention overseas for one K-pop girl group.
Over the past few days, Lovelyz's version of Michael Jackson's "Beat It" went viral in the United States. The a cappella performance was first aired on a local Fox news morning show before being picked up by numerous popular viral websites.
The Woollim Entertainment girl group's a cappella version of Jackson's "Beat it" was shared not only on a local Fox show, but also shared on Reddit, Mashable, and by Perez Hilton.
The performance is from Lovelyz' Oct. 31 appearance on KBS2's "Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketch Book," a show where Korean musicians perform live with a band each week. During the show, seven of Lovelyz' eight members performed the cover.
After they finished the a cappella version of "Beat It," Lovelyz received a warm round of applause from the audience at "Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketch Book."
Lovelyz debuted in 2014 with "Candy Jelly Love" and recently made their comeback with "Ah-Choo" in September.
