'X-Men: Apocalypse' Trailer Will Be Attached To 'Star Wars 7' Confirms Producer Simon Kinberg

While promoting "Deadpool" with Collider, "X-Men" property producer Simon Kinberg confirmed "X-Men: Apocalypse's" first trailer will be attached to "Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens."

"I can in fact confirm that information. Our first trailer will be on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It's our first thing out there so it is somewhat of a teaser but it's certainly longer than a minute and it has a ton of cool stuff in it."

Rumor had it that the first "X-Men: Apocalypse" trailer would be attached to Ridley Scott's "The Martian" but it didn't push through, despite there being footage that was screened at San Diego Comic-Con months earlier, according to Screen Rant.

Director Bryan Singer has reveals that the movie will have a runtime of over two hours, and that the trailer will pay homage to all six previous "X-Men" installments.

"The X-Men movies I usually keep under two hours, but this one I may actually let be a longer movie because it's sort of a wrap-up of six movies," the director said in a statement published by Screen Rant.

"Apocalypse" ends the arc that began with 2011's "X-Men: First Class." It is also marks the last "X-Men" film for several series stars including Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult, who both have reached the end of their multi-picture contracts with Fox.

The film stars Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr a.k.a. Magneto, James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Jennifer Lawrence as Raven, Evan Peters as Quicksilver and Lucas Till as Havok. It will introduce newcomers Alexandra Shipp as young Storm, Tye Sheridan as young Cyclops, Sophie Turner as young Jean Grey, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Lana Condor as Jubilee, Ben Hardy as Angel and Oscar Isaac as the titular villain.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" arrives on May 27, 2016. "Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens" opens in theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
