K-Beauty Review: INNISFREE It's Real Squeeze Mask, Green Tea

Green tea is full of properties that are good for your skin. Find out how the Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask in Green Tea compares to our previous review on Innisfree's Green Tea Hydro Gel mask with our K-Beauty review.

According to BeautyBlitz.com, the main difference between a sheet mask and a hydrogel mask is the material: sheet masks are usually a thin, treatment-soaked piece of cloth, while hydrogel masks have a thin gel form, with a better ability to lock in moisture. Hydrogel masks also form to your face better than sheet masks because they are more pliable.

Description

This Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask contains green tea from Korea's Jeju Island to replenish, moisturize, hydrate, and smooth to give the skin a dewy glow.

The product boasts the ability to hydrate and recharge skin. The green tea extract from Jeju Island is known for its vitality and deep hydration, leaving skin feeling supple.

Though this doesn't have the same benefits as a hydrogel mask, this sheet mask has three layers to moisturize deeply and adhere to the skin.

Other extracts in this mask include tangerine, white lotus, camelia, and orchid.

Packaging

Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask in Green Tea a wooden spoon with what looks like green tea jelly, and wet green tea leaves on a stalk. The instructions for the product are listed in both Korean and English on the back.

Application

The directions ask users to cleanse and tone the skin and remove the mask from the package.

It advises users to place the mask on the face while avoiding the eye and lip area.

Leave the sheet on for 10-20 minutes, peel off, and pat remaining serum into the skin.

Product

The one problem I have with K-beauty products is the fragrance - despite K-beauty's commitment to natural products, added fragrance is sometimes overwhelming and irritating to my skin. This was one of the only sheet masks I've used that doesn't smell like perfume. The fragrance is fresh and clean, with an almost lemon-tea scent.

This Innisfree mask is ridiculously cooling - not in a painful way, but in a tingly, soothing way that felt like a spa treatment for my face. It was amazing and a perfect way to wind down after a long week.

However, here's a warning: don't get any product in your eye. It will burn.

Unlike the hydrogel green tea version, this mask was easy to put on.

Results

My skin felt moisturized and calmed and I had a youthful glow to my face, as if I had just spent the day in the sauna. In fact, the feeling of this mask was so nice I didn't want to take it off after my 20 minutes were up! I used this mask at night, and in the morning my face still felt a little sticky from the product but I think it actually helped balance out the oil production on my face. I usually wake up with a sheen to my skin, especially around my nose, but after using this mask the next morning my skin was soft and smooth.

Pros & Cons

Pros: Glowing skin, subtle scent, very refreshing, balanced oil production, felt like a day at the spa, affordable

Cons: Burned my eye, didn't visibly reduce acne scars

Price & Availability

The Innisfree It's Real Squeeze Mask in Green Tea is available on Amazon.com for $8.86 for seven masks. They are also on the Innisfree website for $1.20 per sheet.
