Plans For A ‘Back To The Future 4’ Release Date Talked About By Christopher Lloyd

Following the talks of the "Back To The Future" movie series, rumors about a "Back To The Future 4" movie is said to be in the works, although a release date is yet to be set.

Interviews by the actors in the film, namely Christopher Lloyd, who plays Doc Emmet Brown, and Lea Thompson, who plays Lorraine Baines McFly, reveal that they are still interested to reprise their roles in the said film series.

In a Hollywood Reporter article, Lloyd revealed how interested he is to play his role in a possible "Back To The Future 4" film and is just waiting for plans and a potential release date to come.

"I would love to do Doc again, no question," the actor said. "[But] it's tough to come up with an idea that contains the excitement of the original three."

"So it would be a real challenge for the writers to come up with an original Back To The Future story that has the same passion and intensity and excitement as the other three. But it could be done, you never know."

On the other hand, the actress who plays the mother of Marty McFly in the series told The Toronto Sun how thrilled she is as she looked back more than 20 years ago since the release of the trilogy.

"It's surreal thinking about something I did a long time ago," Thompson said about the potential "Back To The Future 4" release date. "It's kind of weird, but it's nice."

In the interview, she revealed the same sentiments Lloyd was pointing out with how the actors changed and aged throughout the years.

"Age makeup is kind painful, and it's strange to act in because if you move your face too much you tear it, and if you tear it you ruin the whole day."

"It's a different time to be older now," she added. "I'm sitting here basically wearing the same dress my daughter would wear. I've got the same hair my daughter would wear. We can get away with that stuff."
