In a report on Today, it was mentioned that the former couple apparently helped each other up so that the "Mockingjay Part 2" actor could adopt a new rescue dog.
"Thanks @mileycyrus for loving dogs as much as we do!!" Wylder's Holistic Pet Center wrote on Instagram. "You helped find this gigantic, 6 month old puppy a new home. @liamhemsworth you will give this deserving baby a great life!"
Liam Hemsworth also got into the groove of sharing on social media the new rescue dog that Miley Cyrus apparently helped him get.
"New 'gigantic' rescue pup!" he posted. "Dora the Explorer. #rescuedog!"
Fans couldn't help but gush over the "Mockingjay Part 2" actor's new pet. Some even commended him for choosing to rescue that buy for a new dog.
As reported by Us Weekly, the "The Last Song" co-stars were apparently in constant communication recently in order for the dog adoption to happen.
"Miley sent him a ton of photos - Liam was asking for photos of the dog being held," a shelted employee revealed to the source above. "Liam got back from China and literally came right to Wylder's to take the dog home. The dog is super gentle and sweet and took right to Liam, despite being afraid of men in the past."
Fans of the ex-couple have been hopeful these past months that they might eventually get back together again especially after the Australian actor said some good words about the "Wrecking Ball" singer.
"She's a free spirit," Liam Hemsworth told Men's Fitness about Miley Cyrus. "I think she'll always surprise people with what she does, but she's not a malicious person in any way. She's a young girl who wants to do what she wants to do."
