Wesley Snipes is not closing any doors on "Blade 4."
According to the 53-year-old actor, there have been talks about a fourth installment, revealing "Marvel and I have decided to have further conversations."
While Marvel has reclaimed the rights to the franchise, it doesn't seem that the studio will be calling in Snipes for "Blade 4" given their previously announced slate of releases up until 2020.
In an interview with IGN, Snipes opens up about the franchise's future.
"It's a topic of conversation," he said. "It's inescapable. They have their agenda, we have ours, and we're both moving at an accelerated pace to create magic. We'll see if it all matches up. There's a strong possibility, but if not we have another project that's going to stand toe to toe with Blade."
Wesley Snipes disappeared from the radar after being convicted in 2006 for failing to file tax return. The actor is now back to work appearing on NBC's "The Player." Despite being out of commision for a while, it seems that he never lost interest in playing the vampire-killing superhero.
"I'd be open to it. I think we've got some stones left unturned and there's some latitude left for us to build on and I'd love to get back in the suit again and do some things I've learned how to do now that I didn't know how to do then," the actor said in a statement published by Slash Film. "I think we're better at making that kind of a film now. Some of the things we did in the early parts of the franchise were experimental and now they've become customary in a lot of the Avengers films and other comic book adaptations."
The latest rumor claim that there might be plans for Wesley Snipes to appear in a "Blade" Netflix series instead of "Blade 4."
