New Album From Limp Bizkit Cancelled? Fred Durst Has His Focus On His Russian Citizenship

The new album from Limp Bizkit was reportedly expected to come out this year, but delays from the band members came, which might potentially ruin the fate of the disc. The question now is: when will the group come up with the record?

In a report by Team Rock a few months back, guitarist Wes Borland revealed how singer Fred Durst has been working closely on their songs and their record.

"Fred has been working on vocals in his home studio nonstop for months and months," Borland said.

Furthermore, he also revealed how they have at least 28 songs lined up and could potentially be included in the new Limp Bizkit album.

"He's told me that he's almost finished, but I don't know what amount of the 28 songs has been finished," he added. I know that he re-records and trashes vocals all the time."

"I don't know, I think he's in a mode where he's liking something that he's doing and not liking other stuff," he added while still talking about the supposed new album from Limp Bizkit. "But I think he's just now starting to feel a lot more confident in what he's putting in the songs."

"To be blatantly honest about it, the new album has gone through so many different alterations and so many different session," he said. "I mean, we've gone into five different studios now. I think we're up to 28 songs, or maybe even more. And those are completed songs."

Meanwhile, in addition to new album reports, Bloomberg pointed out howLimp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst is currently seeking to get a Russian passport and be a citizen of the country in addition to his American citizenship.

According to the report, Durst revealed that he has "something special for Russia" that made him consider being a citizen of the said nation.

Without a new album out, Limp Bizkit is currently enjoying a tour in Russia and its neighboring countries.
