Stone Temple Pilots is again left without a singer and reports say that Scott Weiland may come back in the line up and potentially release a new album soon.
A Blabbermouth report revealed how the original singer could potentially come back for the group and possibly work on a new album for Stone Temple Pilots.
However, he revealed that he might wait a little longer for the issue to fade before he could decide if he could come back for the band.
"I think it would be beneficial to wait a little while, give it a little bit of time to let some air kind of breathe between all of us before that happens," Weiland said, while the Stone Temple Pilots are still searching for a new singer and has a new album waiting. "Like, you know, a year or something like that."
With a "High Rise EP" credited his vocal tracks, former singer Chester Bennington revealed how grateful he was to have worked with Stone Temple Pilots even without working on a new album.
In a Rolling Stone interview, he revealed how he wanted to get his full focus on his original band, Linkin Park, as the group is scheduled to work on a new album as well.
"The last few years have been an amazing experience," Bennington said. "I got to create and perform with one of the greatest rock bands of our generation, that had so much influence on me growing up. With the amount of time STP deserves, in addition to being in Linkin Park, and with the needs of my family, one of them always seems to fall short."
The remaining members of Stone Temple Pilots, Robert DeLeo, Dean DeLeo and Eric Kretz talked to Gibson recently and revealed their sentiments with have Bennington as their frontman.
"Within this, there is a new beginning," the rest of STP said in an official statement. "There is an abundance of new music written, some of which is already recorded. We have had the fortune of playing with some very talented singers over the last few months and will continue to do so until each of us feels and knows when the right person arrives."
