The Rolling Stones Planning On A New Album Release; Members Talk About Progress

The Rolling Stones are planning on a new album release for 2016, as the members of the band revealed their intentions to write new songs for a potential release.

In an interview that was pointed out by The Toronto Sun, guitarist Ronnie Wood revealed how they intend to write new songs and go to the studio to start work by December and that they expect to finish things by next year.

"We'll maybe go in the studio in December and cut a few tracks and see what happens," Wood said in an ABC Radio interview, as he talks about the new album expected from The Rolling Stones. "We'll take it from there, see how it all goes. One thing at a time."

However, Keith Richards previously said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly of their plans of a new record release, which he initially planned to start once they're done with their first tour leg.

"After we do South America in February and March [2016], I'd love to get in the studio in April," Richards explained about the progress of the new album from The Rolling Stones. "But I know what those guys are like. When they finish a tour, they don't want to do nothing!"

"I'm trying to get the Stones into the studio," he said about the new album from The Rolling Stones. "But I don't quite honestly see it happening this year."

In addition to that, singer Mick Jagger also stated in an interview, which was reported by Ultimate Classic Rock, that he has a few songs up his sleeves, which are ready to be recorded.

"I've got a lot of new songs, and songs I've written over the last couple of years," Jagger said, describing the new Rolling Stones album. "I've done really good demos for all of them, which I would love to record. I'd love to record a Stones album."
