New Dave Matthews Band Album Might Not Be A Surprise For Some Fans

Dave Matthews Band fans are all excited to hear what the band has in store for them in the reported new album, but reports claim that the upcoming record from DMB might not be a surprise to some as they are expected to put up songs that have been played regularly on stage.

As stated in an a report from Music Mic, the South African-born singer revealed in an interview that the new album from Dave Matthews Band could have songs that could be very familiar for some of their fans, as they have songs lined up that have been constantly played during their shows.

Matthews also stated how most people would also know the songs from videos recorded during their shows.

"We've always let people record our music, so probably they'll end up getting some of it anyway if they just tape the shows or we put some live releases out," he explained. "But at some point, we'll have an album that we'll put out for whatever reason people still do that."

As to what songs would be included in the record, the 48-year-old musician explained how they have at least a handful of tracks ready to be picked and be included in the upcoming release.

"I go on a lot of tangents, so I've been doing some writing, and I certainly could fill the space of several albums with music that I've made," he said. "But I haven't yet fallen in love with the whole thing. I'm in love with parts of it."

Meanwhile, the Dave Matthews Band singer also stated that fans should expect something different from their new album after he talked with Rolling Stone.

"I've been in the studio trying to get a couple of things ready for the band to go back in, having fun," the singer said. "I'm just trying to come up with something that doesn't sound like the past."

"I think we are unique and a pretty badass band - maybe a little creakier than we once were. We are cursed and blessed with the fact that if you want to see what the band is like and get to know us, then you have to see us live or at least listen."
