Lorde is reportedly working on a new album and has recently revealed that she is 100% back in the studio as she prepares for the follow up release of "Pure Heroine."
In a report by New Zealand Herald, the 19-year-old singer revealed how she started with studio work just recently, when she announced on her social media page that she is working on her new album on her birthday last Nov. 7.
"It's been a studio birthday so far you'll be happy to know," she posted.
Meanwhile, Lorde also recently talked to BBC about her new album, wherein she revealed that her experiences compared to her experiences when she was writing songs for her debut release was totally different that could possibly affect the sound and feel of the upcoming effort.
"I wrote the last album about that world which was the suburb where I grew up and populated by my friends and people who were really familiar to me," Lorde said about her new album. "Now I'm in a different place every day and I'm with new people every day and it's a different vibe."
Furthermore, she also stated how unsure she was a few months back as to what the sound of her record would be like.
"We haven't got some planned out 'this is what it's going to sound like,'" she added. "I think we're just going to start writing and when it starts to feel right, we'll know that it's right. It's pretty simple really."
"I don't know where the inspiration comes from for stuff. You work and at some point you feel you suck for the first 10 hours and in the last hour in the studio something great happens. You just never know when it's going to come."
Lorde hasn't announced anything official about her upcoming release but is expected to come out in 2016.
