After promoting going on the road for their "Songs Of Innocence + Experience Tour," U2 revealed that they have immediate plans for a follow up after they finish the extended dates for Paris on early December.
In a report by Entertainment Weekly, U2 singer Bono revealed that they would be jumping on the processes of a new album once they're done with the current tour.
"We're playing out of our skins at the moment," Bono recently said. "It's pathetic it took us 35 years to be the band we've always wanted to be. It's a wild thing to be in it. Our friend, Noel Gallagher, came to a show and said to us, 'You're starting with the encore?'"
Furthermore, he also revealed how he expected the new album from U2 to be "epic" and would be filled with positive messages.
"We're well into it," Bono said in the interview. "Edge just came up with a cracker the other day! It's provisionally titled 'Tightrope.'"
"It's very epic. It's very up. And, you know, that's probably what the experience has taught us: to be fully in the moment and that fun is respected, and joy is not to be let go of."
According to the band's official website, the band was recently scheduled a few weeks back in Paris and in other parts of Europe but had to postpone the show to pay respects to the victims of the tragedy. The new show dates for their Paris shows have been moved to Dec. 6 and 7.
Aside from new album news from U2, Bono also revealed in an interview with CNN his thoughts about the shooting that happened in Paris a few weeks back.
"It's very upsetting. These are our people. This could be me at a show. You at a show, in that venue. It's a very recognizable situation for you and for me and the coldblooded aspect of this slaughter is deeply disturbing and that's what I can't get out of my head."
