Sebastian Shoots Back At Zack Snyder For Marvel Diss; Says Marvel Isn't 'Mimicing' better Christopher Nolan Film

Marvel actor Sebastian Stan fires back at "Batman V Superman" director Zack Snyder for dissing "Ant-Man."

Earlier this year, Snyder took stabs at Marvel, saying that his upcoming crossover film won't "be your flavor-of-the-week like 'Ant-Man.'" Stan, who plays Bucky Barnes a.k.a. The Winter Soldier in the "Captain America" films, stepped up and defended his studios' name.

"Yeah, I'm sitting here and I'm listening to you and I'm thinking, 'Do I want to fire some shots at DC right now, at Zack Snyder?" the actor said in an interview with Collider.

"Something about, 'It's not going to be your flavor-of-the-week Ant-Man.' And I was like, 'Oh thanks, Zack. That's great. Way to do something original,'" Stan said. "But I would say we're still making something very original in our own way. I mean, the Russo's are coming in and taking something people are used to and they're shaping it up and changing it in a very different way.

"They're not trying to mimic a better Christopher Nolan movie or something like that."

Stan's Marvel character, The Winter Soldier will play a pivotal role in "Capatain America: Civil War," teaming up with Captain America as they battle with Iron Man's pro-registration team.

"Yeah, it's awesome, and I kind of like that he doesn't really have super powers," Stan said of his character. "He's got this metal arm and stuff, sort of the serum situation, but he's sort of just a dude."

The Captain America: Civil War" plot picks up where "Avengers: Age of Ultron" left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity," reads the official synopsis. "After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain."

Both movies were previously slated to release on the same day, Zack Snyder's "Batman V Superman" will open first on March 25, followed by "Captain America: Civil War" on May 6.
