Michael B. Jordan Talks Failure Of 'Fantastic Four'; Wants To Play Superhero Again

Michael B. Jordan talks about the "Fantastic Four" reboot and the possibility of starring in another superhero film.

Appearing on the Bill Simmons podcast, where he discussed his newly-released "Rocky" spinoff, "Creed," Michael B. Jordan was asked about the negative buzz of the "Fantastic Four" reboot.

"No, yeah, I got out of there pretty clean, you know, it's one of those things where it was a lesson for me that really made me realize that things aren't in your control," he explained.

"Which is one that you know I would gladly do again, it was a, as me being a comic book fan, and yeah, for that, it was just like a dream come true being able to play that character."

According to Screen Rant, Jordan, who a self-professed comic book fan, is rumored to be attached to another comic book movie adaptation, the movie version of "Blood Brothers." The film, which will be based on the Dark Horse's comic book of the same name, will follow Nick and Tree, two vampires who are dealing with a threat to the human world.

Michael B. Jordan's "Fantastic Four" to date is the worst-reviewed Marvel comics-based movie of all time; it has been surrounded in controversy since its casting stage up to its release. But "Fantastic Four" isn't Michael B. Jordan's first foray into the superhero genre - he has previously provided the voice for Cyborg/Victor Stone in the DC Universe animated feature "Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox."

The "Rocky" spinoff "Creed," where Jordan plays the son of Apollo Creed, is already getting positive reviews from critics, and has even scored a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. Carl Weathers, the actor who played Apolllo in the first four "Rocky" installments, praised Jordan's portrayal of his character's son.

"Creed" is currently in theaters.
