While everyone is commenting on Negan's introduction and Deanna's death during "The Walking Dead" Season 6 fall finale, spoilers have also surfaced regarding some of the other cast of characters for the show's return in episode 9.
During an interview with Variety, executive producer Robert Kirkman, where he touched on Denise's kidnapping by the Wolf Morgan captured.
"This season premiere is going to be a big episode in a long line of big episodes," said Kirkman. "Denise is definitely in peril. I can't really say much about it, but the odds aren't looking so great for her."
However, between the Wolves and the Saviors, Kirkman contends that the latter are "a far bigger threat." With Deanna gone, will Michonne have to step up as the leader?
"Not specifically," said showrunner Scott M. Gimple to TVLine. "[Deanna] is going to have a profound effect on Michonne, but I think it's Maggie that might be changed in that direction."
Of course, the second half of "The Walking Dead" Season 6 will introduce Negan, portrayed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The iconic villain is perhaps best known for killing Glenn in the graphic novel, one of the most memorable deaths in the series. So will this mean the end of Glenn, despite surviving through the unthinkable earlier this season?
"It'd be disingenuous of me to say, from a viewer's point of view, that I wouldn't be afraid," said Gimple.
"But what am I holding out hope for? That it isn't going to be like that? And, man, if it isn't going to be like that, then what is going to happen? I doubt it's going to involve flowers. The fact that he's coming is not going to mean great stuff for Rick's group."
