Tool confirmed that the new album is in the works and fans hope for the record to come out anytime in 2016!
According to a report by Rolling Stone, guitarist Adam Jones revealed how excited the band is for the new album from Tool that is expected to arrive in 2016.
In an interview, he claimed how the progress of the record is going really well while the group is preparing for a set of shows in US.
"Things are really flowing and going really well, and I'm just blown away at the stuff that's coming together," Jones said in an interview. "I'm excited and can't wait for it to be done. It's something I've been missing for a long time [laughs], that beautiful collaboration that we have because we're all so different and have different tastes. But again, when you are all meeting in the middle and that thing you do that meets in the middle is just beautiful, it's very rewarding. So yes, I'm very happy."
As to what fans should expect from the new Tool album, Jones revealed in another Rolling Stone report how they have "really heavy" sound that has a "more complex" feel but still has the signature Tool sound that they have been known for.
"Our greatest strength is jamming and coming up with stuff," Jones said of the new album from Tool. "We're doing that really well now and I'm excited about everything we're working on. Some of it's really heavy, some of it's really complex and some is more atmospheric, but it's definitely Tool."
