'One Punch Man' Creator ONE Gets Anime Adaptation From Studio Bones

If you've been paying attention to anime this season, you'll have noticed much hype for the shonen anime series "One Punch Man."

In fact, the official Kotaku 2015 anime season poll put "One Punch Man" thousands of votes ahead of the second anime series, "Noragami" season two.

Perhaps due to the quick and enduring popularity, "One Punch Man" creator ONE is getting his second anime adaptation. According to reports, his "Mob Psycho 100" manga series has been green-lit for a TV anime produced by Studio Bones. The "Mob Psycho 100" anime series is expected to be released sometime in 2016.

So far, fans are expressing excitement for Studio Bones, as this is the second major anime title they have announced next year.

"2016 is the year of Studio Bones. First they announced 'My Hero Academia' and now this. I'm actually starting to get excited," said Thatguy3331.

The excitement for Studio Bones definitely makes sense given their previous anime series. The studio brought about both "Full Metal Alchemist" anime series', "Norgami" season one and two, and recently popular shojo anime series "Snow White with the Red Hair." Add in the studio's secondary animation work, and it makes sense for fans to be excited.

For fans looking to read the "Mob Psycho 100" manga series, it is currently being published in Shogakukan's web comic magazine "Ura Sunday." The manga began in 2012 and will release the 11th volume on Dec. 4 via Shogakukan.

Anime News Network describes the story of "Mob Psycho 100" manga series as follows:

"The story revolves around "Mob," a boy who will explode if his emotional capacity reaches 100%. This boy with psychic powers earned his nickname "Mob" because he does not stand out among other people. He keeps his psychic powers bottled up so he can live normally, but if his emotional level reaches 100, something will overwhelm his entire body."

For fans interested in joining the "One Punch Man" hype train, Viz Media and Daisuki are currently streaming the anime adaptation for fans outside of Japan.
