Ed Sheeran is reportedly working on a follow up to "X," as the new album is expected to come out in 2016, which may contain even more exciting and memorable songs.
As stated by Rolling Stone, Sheeran revealed that his new album would contain "great songs," which he believes could surpass the songs in his previously released record.
"I could probably release one of them tomorrow and have people like it," Ed Sheeran said about his new album. "'X' was full of good songs and a couple of great songs, and I feel like on the next couple of records there will be more great songs than good songs."
Furthermore, he was asked if he would consider adding a band to accompany him on his new album, wherein Ed Sheeran revealed that he wouldn't and continue with how he writes his songs.
"Yeah," Sheeran said. "And then I kind of was like, 'There's no one else at my level doing what I'm doing, so why would I want to do what everyone else is doing?' Surely it's better to be different. And I know my show can be better when I do it solo than if I do it with a band."
Although the new album talks were brewing up, Sugar Scape recently reported that Sheeran revealed new songs in the reissue of "X."
According to the report, the 24-year-old singer recently released a "Wembley Edition" of "X," where a few unreleased songs were included in the disc.
Songs like "English Rose," "Touch And Go," "New York" and "Make It Rain" were included in the lineup and songs could also be downloaded and streamed via Spotify and iTunes.
The new album from Ed Sheeran is expected to come out in 2016, but for now fans are treated with a few new tracks in his recently released disc.
