Black Sabbath is ready to hit the road for their final tour in 2016, as the members of the group bid their final farewells for their fans.
In a report by Birmingham Mail, Tony Iommi revealed the group's intentions to end their tenure as a group but give their fans one last surprise, as they are set to go on the road at the early months of next year and another leg during the latter part of 2016.
Iommi said in an interview how he couldn't continue with playing and that this would be his last.
The guitarist is a survivor of lymphoma and that stopping from playing live could prevent the disease from going back.
"I can't actually do this anymore," Iommi said. "My body won't take it much more."
"I don't want that creeping back again. And all the travelling involved in Sabbath tours increasingly takes its toll. That's why we're going out on one last tour, to say our farewells.
"And then it very definitely is the end," he added while discussing the final tour in 2016 for Black Sabbath. "We won't be doing it again."
Meanwhile, rumors were reported by Loud Wire that Black Sabbath could also potentially release a new album in between the two 2016 tours, as part of their final bid and parting present for their fans.
On the other hand, there would also be good news for Black Sabbath fans because instead of saying goodbye to their fans, Ozzy Osbourne also revealed that he would be releasing a new album for them as well.
In a Blabbermouth report, Epic Records president Sylvia Rhone revealed that despite the final tour in 2016 for Black Sabbath, Ozzy is scheduled to come up with his own record that she tagged as a "special" record.
"It's going to be a really special album," Rhone said. "It's going to be amazing, it's something Ozzy has never done before that he's always wanted to do."
