Christopher Lloyd Says He’s Game For ‘Back To The Future 4’; Release Date Happening?

A "Back To The Future 4" movie is rumored to happen although no release date or any details about the fourth part of the film has been discussed up to now.

Christopher Lloyd, who played Doc Emmet Brown in the series, however revealed in an interview with Hollywood Reporter, his intentions to reprise his role and potentially go through with a fourth installation of the series.

"I would love to do Doc again, no question," Lloyd said. "[But] it's tough to come up with an idea that contains the excitement of the original three."

The interview was conducted during "Back To The Future" day in October, when rumors of the release date of a "Back To The Future 4" movie emerged.

The actor also revealed how pushing through with another installation of the film could also be a challenge for the writers considering the years that has passed since the last movie.

"So it would be a real challenge for the writers to come up with an original Back To The Future story that has the same passion and intensity and excitement as the other three," he said about the potential announcement of a "Back To The Future 4" release date. "But it could be done, you never know."

Furthermore, actress Lea Thompson also revealed in a Toronto Sun interview her intentions to also reprise her role of Lorraine Baines McFly in the film.

"It's surreal thinking about something I did a long time ago," Thompson said about the potential "Back To The Future 4" release date. "It's kind of weird, but it's nice."

She also has the same sentiments Lloyd has regarding their physical look now as compared to the part three of the film.

"Age makeup is kind painful, and it's strange to act in because if you move your face too much you tear it, and if you tear it you ruin the whole day."

"It's a different time to be older now," she added. "I'm sitting here basically wearing the same dress my daughter would wear. I've got the same hair my daughter would wear. We can get away with that stuff."
