'Batman V Superman' News: Creature That Appeared In Trailer May Not Be Doomsday

Doomsday in the "Batman V Superman" trailer may not be the Superman killer after all.

The second "Batman V Superman" trailer has been released, giving fans more footage of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in action, as well as all three Justice League members in one shot. One of the trailer's notable scenes is the introduction of a creature many believe to be Doomsday.

Although similar in appearance, Screen Rant speculates that the creature appearing in "Batman V Superman" isn't actually Doomsday.

The origin story teased in the new trailer appears to be a similar case: whether or not Lex Luthor actually dubs this creature 'Doomsday,' the fact that he is a brutal beast with protruding bone (and Kryptonian origins) makes it a serviceable title," their report reads. "But we doubt he'll actually wind up killing Superman this time around, no matter how similar he may be to the comic book source material."

While Warner has not confirmed if Doomsday will indeed appear in "Batman V Superman," one can definitely say that the creature is the movie's "new threat."

"Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs," reads the official synopsis published by Screen Crush. "And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before."

Directed by Zack Snyder and written by Chris Terrio, "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" features Henry Cavill as Clark Kent a.k.a. Superman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne a.k.a. Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Thomas Wayne and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.

The movie releases on March 25, 2016.
