Britney Spears Working Hard For New Album; Record May Come Out Next Year

Britney Spears is currently writing and recording a new album and reports claim that the pop princess is working really hard on her upcoming record.

In a recent report by Inquistr, Spears revealed what she has been doing with her record lately, as she became busy with her residency in Las Vegas at the same time.

"Just finished recording some vox," Spears shared in an Instagram post. "Love this song. It makes me smile, and I hope it will make you smile too... #B9"

A Billboard report meanwhile revealed that the new Britney Spears album may be called "B9" and that she is almost done with a few songs.

"[Britney] recently shared a captionless photo of herself in the studio and just last week revealed that she'd finished recording vocals on one song and shared the cryptic hashtag 'B9.' Whether 'B9' refers to her new album, time will tell," the report stated.

In addition to that, recent reports from Inquistr revealed that Britney might include an unreleased cover track from 2008 in her new album, which is said to be a song from 90s group Ace Of Base.

"The song was never released and barely even saw the light of day, a wrong that definitely should be righted," a report from Metro claimed. "The original song was released in 1993 by the Swedish group and it peaked at number two. It's never too late, Britters. Get it out there now!"

Ace Of Base member Ulf Ekberg meanwhile talked to ET Online and claimed that they had plans to release it back then.

"They wanted to release it, but that was a difficult time for her," Ekberg said. "It was only in Denmark, never finished and didn't end up on her album. It was cool though. She took the choruses, took away the verses and wrote new ones about her mom. It was very strong."

The new album from Britney Spears is expected next year.
