CeeLo Green recently opened talks about a new album for Gnarles Barkley, as the former "The Voice" judge revealed that he and Danger Mouse are trying to work together to bring back their group back.
According to an NME report, Green reportedly have contacted the producer and one half of the group to make new music together for their fans.
"I just talked to Danger Mouse last night," CeeLo Green said of the new Gnarls Barkley album. "I told him, 'This is the next thing we should do.' I know he's about to do the Red Hot Chili Peppers' album. I hope he does great with that, but I said, 'Hey, I need you to be able to split your attention. We need another Gnarls album and so do the people.'"
In addition to the new Gnarles Barkley releases, a new album from CeeLo Green also came out, as reported by Fayobserver. According to the report, the said record was believed to be a "prequel" to more great things to come from the artist.
"This album is a prequel to the rest of the music I want to release in the very near future," Green said. "(It's) the start of a new beginning."
More reports and hints about a new Gnarles Barkley album came out in a recent report from New Zealand Herald after he had a one-on-one interview with the Associated Press.
The Gnarles Barkley singer revealed his thoughts about his new album and how different his songs become as time progresses.
"It's always personal to some degree, but much more introspective this time around - more introspective than I've been able to be, had the opportunity of being, the pleasure of being, over the last five years professionally," he said. "The last time I did it to this degree was under the alias Gnarls Barkley."
