Things just get better and better for Big Bang's G-Dragon as 2015 comes closer to its final days.
First, he pulled off another wildly successful album with his fellow Big Bang members in the form of "Made," then he became GQ Korea's "Man of the Year," and now he's one of the most famous K-pop idols on Instagram.
In fact, just shortly after being declared the most followed K-pop idol, he surpassed his own record.
Last week, G-Dragon was found to be the K-pop idol with the most Instagram followers, topping stars like Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and three members of EXO with 6.9 million followers. This week, G-Dragon surpassed 7 million followers.
G-Dragon expressed thanks to his fans and admirers by uploading a screen capture of his Instagram page with the caption "always welcome."
Though G-Dragon individually had an extremely successful year, in his GQ Korea interview he mentioned that Big Bang was the most important thing to him throughout 2015.
"Big Bang is everything. G-Dragon is Big Bang. In 2015, Big Bang was such a huge part of my life," said G-Dragon.
2015 definitely proved to be a huge year for Big Bang as they topped numerous music charts with every single release from their "Made" album. In particular, "Bang Bang Bang" won the group the "Song of the Year" award at the recent 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards. The group also took home the awards for "Artist of the Year" and "iQIYI Worldwide Favorite Artist" at the event, making a huge night for the group.
Though there's no telling what is in store for G-Dragon in 2016, it is clear that he'll continue to have many fans watching and following him along.
