Sacramento Kings Trade Rumors: Rajon Rondo Headed To The 76ers? Max Deal Is Expected

With Sacramento Kings' point guard Rajon Rondo reviving his career, the former All-Star could see a max deal this upcoming offseason.

Currently leading the league in assists and triple doubles, Rondo's risk of signing a 1-year deal with the Kings to prove himself might have worked.

He needed this stint with the Kings to prove to the league that he was still an All-Star caliber player despite his disastrous time with the Dallas Mavericks last season. According to espn.com, Rondo had difficulties with the Mavericks last season especially with head coach Rick Carlisle's motion offense. As per the report, Carlisle said that he could not compare Rondo with his previous point guard Jason Kidd-with whom he had many altercations with.

"It's just two totally different people and two totally different players," Carlisle said. "I have full respect for what Rondo has done in this league. I have great respect for it, but it's apples and oranges to a very large degree. While there are similarities, there are way more differences."

"The great thing, all along, all four years we were together, we were searching for the right recipe, but there was always a level of respect," Carlisle added about Kidd. "There was never any bulls---. It was all straight ahead, we're coming at you with the truth and working to figure it out."

Despite Rondo's apparent downfall, the Sacramento Kings signed the controversial point guard over the summer based on si.com. Now, according to usatoday.com, Rondo has been an integral piece in the Kings' attempt to rebuilding into a playoff contender.

Experts believe that the rebuilding 76ers could be Rondo's next destination as the team desperately needs veteran leadership and players who could create off the dribble. As the 76ers' roster is filled with relatively unknown players, Rondo's All-Star status could help revive a struggling team filled with young prospects in need of guidance.
