Nonito Donaire Vs. Cesar Juarez Is On! Donaire Vs. Nicholas Walters Rematch Inbound?

The Filipino Flash, Nonito Donaire will once again step in the boxing ring as he fights Mexican Cesar Juarez for the vacant WBO world super bantamweight title.

The 33-year old boxer is currently on a 2-0 knockout winning streak and he said that he got so motivated to fight after he was knocked out by Nicholas Walters a year ago.

"When I was down on the canvas in the Walters fight I thought to myself, 'this is a blessing.' It was a blessing because I had lost my way, not giving boxing the respect it deserves," Donaire remarked via GMA Network.

"I was searching for something. I was unsatisfied. I went home and re-dedicated myself to the sport. I worked harder in the gym. I got out of bed early in the mornings and did my running."

He also said that this fight against Juarez is a must-win in order for him to take another huge leap in the sport.

"My opponent is a tough guy and he is hungry like a wolf. My job is to beat the wolf. He's actually ranked higher than me (by the WBO). He is no. 1 and I am no. 2," said Donaire.

"I must win on Friday night. I am out of setbacks. My speed has increased. I can feel my power is much stronger. I had a great camp. I must win."

He also said in a separate interview that he is more than eager to fight Walters once again but not in the previous weight they fought on.

"I'm not gonna chase anybody," said the Filipino Flash in Boxing Scene.

"I wanna make the [Walters] fight happen, but I'm not foolish enough to go up two weight classes or a weight class, where I know the experiences I've had in the past have led me to making the right decisions."

"I'm willing to fight anybody, but it has to be in a fair atmosphere," he added.
