With all the success that the "Uncharted" series received throughout these years, Naughty Dog talked about "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" and its release date, which they claimed would be the last for the game series.
In a report by SKNR, Naughty Dog community strategist Arne Mayer talked about their plans for the release date of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" and revealed how the graphics would come into play.
"There are far too many things to list," Meyer explained. "Not to mention many things we can't talk about right now, either. We saw a glimpse of what was possible with games on the PS4 when we developed The Last of Us Remastered and we were excited with what we could do when fully focused on developing a game from the ground up for the system."
Meanwhile, Naughty Dog further talked about the release date of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," which is said to be the last for the series, in a report by PlayStation Lifestyle.
"This will be our fourth 'Uncharted' game," lead game designer Robert Cogburn reportedly told Kotaku. "These games are hard to make. Particularly with a character like Nathan Drake in a world that's fairly grounded, it's a challenge to consider how much more we can expand the universe while adhering to those sorts of rules."
Furthermore, he revealed that the studio might have seen other opportunities for other games to be made basing on the "Uncharted 4" gameplay.
"You struggle with having to answer the same questions over and over again in any franchise," he said. "This is gonna be the fourth time we start answering stuff like, 'How do we make hand-grabs visible? What do we do to scale the combat experience? What are the interesting puzzles we can be introducing in the moment-to-moment as the player's experiencing this narrative?' That's not to say the questions will be the same in games we make going forward, but as a studio we grow tired of answering those same types of questions in the same fiction. It's gonna be fun for us to really embark on new ideas and start fleshing those out [in a new series]."
