Naughty Dog is yet to announce a potential release date for "The Last Of Us 2" following the huge success of the first installation of the game.
Without any information thrown by the game studio, voice actor Nolan North, however, hinted the release of the said game.
According to a previous post by Game Rant, North hinted that the studio is working on the sequel while he was in a panel for the recently held Metro Con.
"I know they're doing a 'Last of Us 2,'" North said, while he was talking about his future projects, which includes work for "Uncharted 4."
In addition to confirmation and hints about the release date of "The Last Of Us 2," there have been numerous rumors and speculations as to how the game would be.
In a recent report by Movie Pilot, the website speculated that the sequel could potentially have Ellie living alone with Joel getting killed before the game starts.
"If the sequel features the same characters and the same setting, most of us, if not all, don't want Joel to return," the report stated.
"Imagine an emotional scene where Joel dies in Ellie's arms, trying to save her from the Infected, maybe trying to kill a stage 5 Infected which got removed from the first game. After that, Ellie is all on her own, fighting for her survival. The game could feature many emotional scenes of Ellie remembering Joel."
Although it is all speculations and rumors for now, "The Last Of Us 2" release date may potentially come in 2017 or late 2016, as Naughty Dog promised to start with their work on the sequel once they're done with "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End."
"Uncharted 4" is scheduled to come out in March 2016 and will be available for the PS4.
