Rumors of Choa's upcoming solo debut have turned out to be true.
On Dec. 14, the music video teaser for Choa's solo debut single, "Flame," was released. The melancholy ballad features a teary Choa sporting her trademark blonde bob as she sings about parting and farewells.
The single will be available for purchase on Dec. 17 and Choa is the first member of AOA to have a solo debut.
"Flame" is actually a remake of a popular 2006 song by the same name sung by vocalist Jang Hye Jin and rapper Gary. In Choa's version, the rap verses will be replaced with a section that fits better with Choa's solo version of the song.
Rumors of Choa's solo debut had been circulating for quite a while, and fortunately her single is arriving earlier than expected.
Last weekend, Choa was reported to have completed filming the music video for the single. A reporter at the filming location mentioned, "The song contains Choa's unique vocal ability that can't be found anywhere else. The sad song is good for listening to in the winter."
