Houston Rockets Trade Rumors: Ty Lawson On His Way To Milwaukee Bucks?

The Houston Rockets are now back on track as they currently stand at .500 after a dismal start. However, that is not enough considering they are ranked as one of the top-tier teams this season after last season's finish.

With that said, a roster shake-up might be necessary to turn things around for the better. Should they move struggling point guard Ty Lawson now? In an article by Bleacher Report, a trade with the Milwaukee Bucks seems plausible and here's how the trade will go.

"Houston Rockets Get: SG O.J. Mayo and PG Greivis Vasquez

Milwaukee Bucks Get: PG Ty Lawson"

According to Dan Favale of BR, "The Rockets are ready to cut bait with Lawson. We think." Although Lawson said recently that he is not under the rumor mill.

However, both teams will surely benefit from the deal as the Rockets get an efficient back-up for Harden as well as for Patrick Beverley. Meanwhile, Lawson might just work out for Milwaukee as a back-up for Michael Carter-Williams and being under the tutelage of head coach Jason Kidd.

Moreover, Mayo's three-point shooting suits the Rockets' play style very well and although he has not been shooting the ball well this season, a change of scenery might turn things around. Meanwhile, Vazquez is a point guard who doesn't dominate the ball which is what James Harden might need in a point guard.

Lawson, meanwhile, can play to his strengths in Milwaukee which is fast-paced basketball but the defense of the Bucks might suffer a bit. Nevertheless, the size and length of their youngsters might make up for that shortcoming.

With that said, Grant Hughrs verdict is, "Go for it. Houston sheds an underperforming gamble and takes on a couple of safer pieces who fit better. The Bucks get a crack at a risky rental who, when right, can do things nobody else on their roster can."
